There’s an imbalance here.
The big box stores and cyber retailers would like you to think this week is all about them. Black Friday, small-biz Saturday, Cyber Monday…even Target employees have to go to work on a national holiday (you know, the ones we’re all supposed to get off). But what about Thursday…Thanksgiving? Who does that actually belong to?
It belongs to you.
It belongs to the loving families gathering in home kitchens to share the appreciation of loved ones and the opportunities we have. But not every family gets to have this amazing experience once a year, or ever. This year you could make a difference in the lives of people who do not have an extra large butterball turkey to feast over, this year you can give back Thanksgiving.
Even just here in Denver there are a ton of wonderful resources for donating holiday food and necessities to the less fortunate. We wanted to highlight a few of these efforts for the great work they do to share Thanksgiving love with the humans who need it most.
