When it comes to social media automation platforms, it’s safe to say we’ve tried almost all of them. If you feel like you’ve been in the same boat, jumping from one platform to another, jump no more. CoSchedule has become one of our favorite platforms to work with in terms of content planning and automation. Their interface is clean, contemporary and extremely simple to use while providing a robust array of functions. As the world of content generation for brands continues to grow in pace and quality, a proper editorial calendar is essential to keeping up with the flow of your competitors.
The purpose of utilizing CoSchedule is to not only save you time but to create content with foresight instead of simply generating content without a milestone in mind. The way CoSchedule is set up allows you to think well in advance about what you’re publishing and what audiences you’re targeting. Once you’ve lined up your content in your CoSchedule calendar you’ll be on your way to saving hours a week by not having to individually post to each social media platform you use.
The Campaigns feature is one of our favorites, with this you can arrange your content in a drip-style format to be housed under one anchor Campaign. For example, if you have a special offer for the summer, you can create content under your “SUMMER CAMPAIGN” to reflect the goals of that content. Once your campaign is created, CoSchedule automates your campaign assets so that they are not only automatically published but follow along the content cycle you provide. One way we like to use the Campaigns feature is to quickly access and edit any content under a campaign. For example, instead of needing to identify a specific post or date, you can simply click your campaign title and have immediate access to all of your content for that campaign. This saves us time and headaches from trying to manually organize a large set of content for a single marketing purpose.
ReQueue for Success
Another unique feature of CoSchedule is the ReQueue function. ReQueue is a great way to keep your social media feeds loaded up with new and reusable content based off of parameters you set within your calendar settings. Let’s say you have a collection of blog posts or even simple social media posts that you know will work for more than just a one-time post, ReQueue allows you to automatically redistribute that content without batting an eye. When creating a post all you have to do is simply hit the “ReQueue” button in the bottom left hand corner and BOOM, you’ve got recyclable content. Where it gets really fancy is the flexibility in how these ReQueue content is redistributed. Of course, you don’t want the same post going out more than once a week or even more than once a month, what ReQueue allows you to do is set parameters on how soon that content is recycled in addition to how often you want that content to show up in your feeds. We love using ReQueue especially for our Twitter feeds. Twitter is one of the most fast-paced social platforms, allowing brands to post more than three times a day without being overbearing or repetitive to their followers. ReQueue keeps our Twitter feeds active, relevant and buzzing with content at all times.
